My favourite Accessory I own..

We all have a favourite Accessory, most of which are irreplaceable.
This is my favourite belt I own and I cant find anthing like it on the highstreet recently!
Although its just a belt, it seams to match all the trousers I own and complete any outfit.

The oversized buckle is different to alot of belts i have seen because of the unque design.
The colour of a strap complements the gold buckle and because it isnt too bright it can be warn with anything.

Leeds Festival!!

Still looking good while camping and living it rough is a hard thing to do.....

While I was at Leeds Festival this year I noticed various trends of popular festival clothing.

Denim shorts were a must at this years festivals!! Its an easy look to put together and the shorts can be worn with pretty much any top. This is great for mixing and matching outfits when the rest of your clothes are muddy! The high waisted shorts are a statement in themselfs and give off a quirky feel...
Rain coats and waterproofs were essential this year. Although these kind of coats look like bin bags, they are essential to keep your clothes dry at a festival so all you can do is try and find the nicest ones you can!
Same again here, these hats might not be an everyday essential, but they keep your head warm and your hair dry! The below picture shows some of my favourites....

My college fashion show!

I was unsure how to start my blog so I decided  to show some of my work and the garments I have created throught the last year at college. At the end of every year there is a fashion show held for all pupils to show there work....

In total I made 3 garments all based on different projects I have been working on, they are...
  • 'Fold'
  • 'Designs on denim'
  • 'Moulage on a stand'
The below picture is my final garment inspired by the word fold, i used a contrast of soft chiffrons and stiff cotton to create a mix of flowing and structured folds. its hard to see on the picture as i am no photographer! but there are heavy pleats along the edge of the pocket which is a main feature...

This next picture shows my denim shit design going down the catwalk, thats me at the side! i decided to walk all my models down the catwalk seen as i couldnt wear them myself! haha.. everyone in the class had to design a shirt using the same fabric. I wanted my final garment to be wearable and look clean and sophisticated.

                                           close up .............

To create the moulage on a stand everyone was given the same piece of fabric, it was 2 meters long and you wasn't aloud to cut it at all. i found it difficult at first but i am really pleased with the end result! we then hand tacked the garments to be shown at the fashion show.

my friend becky modeling it at the fashion show...
